BEyONd the Stage

Aim of the project is to strengthen young people with extreme poverty/social back ground in creating for themselves liveable right-based environment, where they have tools for free expression, where they are able identify themselves as social transformators and strong actors of their sustainable future, hand-in-hand with local and national stakeholders of democtartic institutions and with local communities/ NGOs. In this process they strenghten their capacities as youth workers and as strong community members, who are multiplicators of their fields of new-gain knowledge working with high outreach capacity quantitative/qualitative results of community-development projects. The task of our NGO partners, and us is to create learning environment that can equip disadvantaged youth with skills and competencies to go through life transitions: becoming adult, continuing to learn; starting to work; exercising citizenship; and promote a culture of peace and sustainable development in their communities thus eradicate poverty. BEyONd the STAGE - Art for youth work and understanding! Integration occurs with common learning and understanding, trough joy and playfulness. Our aim is to promote dance and movements as a tool for youth workers, social workers, young peer leaders of vulnerable communities of our region in order to have an effective tool in their hands to deal with vulnerable youth, or youth with behavioural problems with non-formal education methods. All together we expect 26 young people from 8 countries: Turkey, Italy, Romania, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Greece. MAIN ACTIVITIES OF the training: In our 10 days long training each day a different artistic modality will be focused on, although it is necessary to use them intertwined, based on authentic bodily sensations and movement. DAY1: Dancer DAY2: Dancer DAY3: Musician DAY4: Story-teller DAY5: Performer DAY 6 Integration, conclusions, evaluation. DAY 7: Workshop – best practices DAY 8: Workshop – best practices, preparation DAY 9: SHOW! – 1 day flashmob/artistic workshop sessions at Budapest DAY 10:Evaluation – future practices BEyONd the STAGE! brings European young people together, so that they can explore and understand the possibilities of developing their working skills in a European context. Participants of the training course will identify common problems, values, solutions and come up with their own creative ideas. Participants are highly encouraged to share their ideas and knowledge gained through this week with a wider European public and to bring back their best techniques to their home countries.
