Secondary school Dugo Selo wants to ensure its students which are educating for a occupation computer technician and occupations heating and air conditioning installer, gas installer, plumber professional practice in Germany to enhance their competence. The main objective of the project is to increase professional knowledge and skills of mobility participants (30 students) to be more competitive in the labor market after their graduation, and also wants to prepare them for lifelong learning and professional development. Mobility will be carried out in two flows for a period of 14 days each. The first group of students (15 computer technicians) will conduct professional training in Frankfurt in crafts / companies that will ensure partner Kroatische Wirtschaftsvereinigung e.V., while the second group of students (15 heating and air conditioning installers, gas installers, plumbers) will conduct professional training in Leipzig in crafts / companies that will ensure partner Vitalis. Selection of crafts / companies in which students will take professional training and development of detailed work programme will be made according to the profile of each participant so that planed activitis will be coordinated with the prior knowledge and abilities of the participants. During professional training in crafts /companies, participants will be familiarized with the methods of work, use of technical aids and obligations of student-apprentices. They will be able to learn from mentors and acquire specific knowledge in certain segments of the work in crafts / companies. In this way they will improve their knowledge and gain additional skills, they will become familiar with European principles of work and organization of vocational training for occupations computer technician, heating and air conditioning installer, gas installer and plumber. Knowledge that will gain participants during mobility, will be their added value, and will distinguish them later on the labour market and facilitate their job search. The project will also contribute to the development of independence, innovation and accountability, and facilitate personal development of the participants of mobility. Before the mobility, participants will take language and cultural preparation to improve their german language so they could easier fallow the programme of the professional practice in Germany. During mobility they will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the culture of the host country and the cultural sights of the city of Frankfurt / Leipzig. The benefit of the project will also have Secondary school Dugo Selo as an applicant organization through the creation of cooperation with partners` institutions and crafts/companies where students will have professional training on the realization of further activities in order to exchange experiences, to improve organization of apprenticeship and to encourage creativity and mobility of students. Expected results of the mobility: - increased professional knowledge and skills of 30 students - acquired knowledge of new techniques, tools and new technologies in the field of computer technicians and heating and air conditioning installers, gas installers and plumbers - 30 students with working experience in Germany that will transfer experience to master-teachers in Croatia with the aim of development of apprenticeship training - 4 teachers with gained knowledge about organization of apprenticeship training in Germany - 34 participants with improved knowledge of German language (basic conversation) - students introduced with lifelong learning possibilities and encouraged on further participation - strengthened partnership between School, partners Kroatische Wirtschaftsvereinigung e. V., Vitalis and crafts/companies which will ensure practical training for students - enlarged added value of School
