The #beactive FlashMOVE overarching objective is to promote the European Week of Sport in select Capital cities and unlimited local communities. The specific objectives are:1. To raise awareness among European citizens of events and opportunities offered during the European Week of Sport, and the benefits of being physically active.2. To engage Capital Cities simultaneously in six countries in a gym based choreographed ‘flashmob’ to webcasted and supported by supplemental engagement in unlimited numbers of local communities across Europe. 3. To establish networks and partnerships to sustainably repeat the event in the coming years. In 2016, FlashMOVE will be implemented on 10 September, Opening Day of the European Week of Sport. The FlashMOVE will be led by ISCA and jointly coordinated by a team with first-hand experience in carrying out this type of event. Specifically, National Coordinators from 6 countries will be identified to serve as part of project implementation team. Promotion and PR: The project is a perfect backdrop for a comprehensive PR campaign to position the European Week of Sport in local, national and European media. Tapping into existing resources and activities: FlashMOVE event will build on the experience and learnings of previous editions successfully coordinated by ISCA the past three years. ISCA is able to leverage an active network of coordinating organisations, MOVE Agents (volunteers) and an extensive PR base. Combining local, national and European actors: The set-up of the project, allowing local citizens, clubs, national organisations and national coordinators of NowWeMOVE campaign as well as EWoS National Coordinating Bodies to play key roles in organizing and implementing FlashMOVE in Capital Cities and local communities is a perfect vehicle to combine the three levels of communication and reach.
