PROJECT
FINISHED
Having benefited for several years from the Lower Saxony `mobility-centre-project`, internationalisation already has become part of the agenda and school life in general of the BbS Nienburg.
Students, teachers and company representatives, motivated by the personal development and success stories of our students on the one hand and the experiences they have made during the stay of foreign students here the Nienburg area on the other hand, wish and demand not only a continuity in the program, but also an even deeper integration of european consciousness by mobility into our school.
The school has met this demand by implementation of an international department and as a result, this application represents the step in the schools strategy of internationalisation.
By sending students, teachers and trainers abroad, we wish to grow not only in the European dimension, but also as an institution that in its parts and by that as a whole profits from the experiences that European mobility brings to us.
Teachers and trainers to be sent will be five in two years. They will take part in a staff training abroad, mainly aimed at informing themselves by a job-shadowing and training them about ECVET Work Units and the competences in general that students abroad are able to gain.
Sixteen students in two years will take part in a learning mobility of 40 days, 2 weeks in a language class and 4 weeks in the company. This will strengthen their competences in order to adapt to global market requirements, also inside the Dual System.
The results of staff and learners mobility will be presented publically, in class, in companies, in chamber meetings and during the annual information fair in our school.
As an impact, we expect an improvement of the management process and its evaluation, and a strong development of the internationalisation process by developing the European dimension of staff competence, popularity of the Dual System, School curricula according to ECVET, the involvement of new professions and an increasing number of apprentices.
For the apprentices this will mean a development of social competences, intercultural action competence, lingual competence, professional, personal and organizational competence as well as ICT competence.
On the long run, this will mean a better preparation of our school and our students for the European and globalized market, a higher and wider level of competences, especially personal and social competences, of all participants. We expect a strong effect in the intercultural competence and in the level of tolerance of the participants. Our school will integrate the experiences in all levels of school life and the effects also will spread throughout the school and find its echoes in the whole region
