The ongoing project will terminate at the end of 2004. Basic work has been done during theproject for assessing co-operation needs, co-operation plans have been made and legal questionsconcerning cross-border rescue service co-operation have been explored. The purpose of theextension project is to carry out planned co-operation processes, which that will not be completedby the end of this year, and to take up at the political level a prepared draft proposal for a rescueservice co-operation agreement. There will also be contacts with the BEAR’s environment taskforce and a group representing indigenous people.
