Improvement of productivity and competitiveness needs the development both physical and information infrastructure. The first being addressed by the work-package (WP) 3 “Maritime Transport Corridor Development” with special focus on the implication towards information and telecommunication technologies (ICT). Those are content of the other WPs of BaSIM in particular concerning “Standardized ICT Architecture” (WP1), “Supply Chain Security” (WP2) and “Supporting information services” (WP4).The WPs are cross-linked to each other while building the framework for the establishment of new Baltic Sea Motorways as well as the improvement of already working corridors integrating the new EU-memberstates and thereby recommending strategic investments.Pilot implementations of BaSIM-solutions in terms of limited security and service applications will be mirrored by best-practice approaches concerning ICT architecture and maritime transport corridor development.hnikzentrum Lübeck / TraDaV Travemünder Datenverbund.
