"Balkanizator" is a EVS project that involves YUPI - Youth Union of People with Initiative as sending organization and United Societies of Balkans as hosting organization.This project it will happen between august 2016 and march 2018 and under it, 4 portuguese volunteers will do EVS in Greece during 10 months.The main goals of the project are: to involve young people from different countries in the activities in the field of media and human rights and to pass them the knowledge, skills and experience needed to work in these fields; to support the volunteers to take part in the actions of the project and to encourage them to run new ones, expressing their ideas, creativity and experiences; to create opportunities for interaction with the young people from the local community to create intercultural dialogue and to raise the awareness among the volunteers about principles and values of the European Union, thus cultivating in them the identity of the European citizen.Being part of this project the EVS volunteers will have chance to develop personal and social skills and they will have opportunity to be part of a EVS project that will give them chance to work on media literacy, citizen journalism and use communication as powerful tool of social transformation.
