1. Backround of the project: The Kaufmännische Berufsschule IV sends students to the ECBM, located in London. These students work in the field of business administration and are involved in an international working area. That´s why staying abroad would mean a lot to them, both for their professional and personal future. The project is run in two flows: 1st flow: 03 May 2015 - 23 May 2015 2nd flow: 29 May 2016- 18 June 2016 2. The aim of the project: All participants are expected to improve their professional and social competences, their cultural awareness and also their language skills. 3. Number and profile of participants: In each flow 23 participants from all different professional guilds take part. 4. Description of activities: - Preparation - Students are hosted by guest families and have to take part in school lessons at ECBM. - They will work in groups, doing Internet research while preparing a final project work dealing with a predetermined topic. - They participate in excursions and different cultural programmes. - In the end they all have to pass a final exam, which consists of 1. a written test, 2. an oral test and 3. a project work. - Monitoring - Evaluation 5. Methodology: All participants have the chance to improve their above-mentioned competences and skills. They broaden their horizon by taking part in actively held school lessons and also by experiencing the everyday life in a foreign country. 6. Results, long- term effects and benefits of the project: - All participants get the chance to improve their competences and chances on the international labour market. - Companies benefit from training of their human resources. - The local area remains competitive as compared to international standards. - The unemployment among youth can be reduced. 7. ECVET - Europass Mobility, Europass Language Passport, Europass CV and Certificates - Learning agreements with all students and signed by all partners - Europass CV, Language Passport and Mobility for the students to document the Mobilty Activity - the students get also further certificates to document the activities by the ECBM and the German-British Chamber
