The Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 7 has integration units for children with multiple disabilities. Even though education of teachers and therapists is multidirectional, we know many therapeutic techniques, we are a group of people looking for new forms of assistance for our kids and their parents. Therefore, cooperation with the Dutch center for children with special educational needs will help us to acquire new experiences and learn new therapeutic techniques. Objectives of the project: • acquire new skills through staff education and apply the knowledge gained in working with autistic children • familiarization by teachers with the Dutch system of education for children with special educational needs • knowledge of innovative organizational and methodological work with an autistic child • the use of special methods and ways of alternative communication and supporting communication • implementation of new methods and forms of work with an autistic child • to provide support for parents of children with special education needs, children with autism Project participants are teachers and specialists working in the Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 7 with integrational departments in Bolesławiec. These are the people who work with disabled children in big groups and conducting individual therapy. Project activities 1. The eTwinning creation of an educational project "The world in the eyes of children with autism". It will be a collection of works of children with autism from the European Union which relate to observation of the world around them. Completion date: June 2015 - January 2016 2. Training trip of teachers and specialists working in the Kindergarten No. 7 to the Doetinchem in Netherlands - activities during the trip: 1. Participation in the training - knowledge of innovative methods of working with an autistic child named "Geef me de 5 " 2. Meeting with the director and staff of the organization and the center - exchange of experience of working with an autistic child 3. Familiarization with the organization "Geef me de 5 " and the center Autimaat 4. Sightseeing educational institutions - Primary School, Kindergarten 5. Visiting the city, getting to know the history, monuments, etc. Completion date: July 2015 3. Introduction learned methods for working with autistic children Completion date: September 2015 - May 2016 4. Conducting the training for parents - acquainted with the new way of working with autistic children Parents observation of our working with the new skills in groups and individually Completion date: December 2015 5. The creation of the album containing works of children with autism from the European Union Completion date: February 2016 6. Organizing meetings for employees of Psychological and Pedagogical Counseling and teachers of Special School and also parents of autistic children unrelated to our institution. The meeting aims to provide a new method of working with an autistic child and its effects. Multimedia presentation showing the known methods, teaching aids, how to use them in working with an autistic child. Completion date: May 2016 7. Evaluation of the project In order to assess the project and determine whether and to what extent it has achieved its objectives and the results, there will be taken the following actions: - survey among parents checking the impact of the new method on the relationship with the child labor, - observations of children, - survey among teachers, - control efficiency, - lesson plans, - photographic and film reportage, - exchange of experience between teachers - exchange of experience parent-teacher Completion date: May 2016 8. Completion of the project - A meeting with the parents and the competent organ - a summary of the project - To write an article for the local newspaper about the development project and its results Completion date: June 2016 Results Teachers The project will help to understand the essence of the problems people with autism in socio-emotional area and to develop techniques to reduce these difficulties. Adaptation of new working methods will allow for a greater, more systematic participation of children with autism in the proposed forms of activity and create educational opportunities to achieve success. Therapists Using new methods will affect the child's motivation to participate in therapy and enrichment behavior modeling methods. New experiences will help to prepare parents to work with a child by explaining them the behavior of a child. By planning activities with the use of new research tools, rehabilitation equipment, known forms of training will allow for an assessment of the child's autonomy and skills. Parents Parents will learn how to develop interpersonal behavior, as well as how they can stimulate their child responsible for the sphere of communication skills.
