Autonomie et Intégration pour des Scolaires en Europe
Start date: Jul 1, 2014,
End date: Jun 30, 2016
PROJECT
FINISHED
• This project was intended for students of the vocational school Les Menuts, located in an Educational Priority Area. They study in commerce and service fields. They are from different origins, from disadvantaged backgrounds. The students reached the 3 main objectives : increasing their autonomy, improving their professional competences and skills and promoting their general well-being including social inclusion and European awareness.
• For calendar matters, visa issue, involment the sender organism had to reduce the number of participants involved in the project as it was indicated in the additional clause.
So, 12 participants took part into the programme over 24 months, all fully involved into the European section and taking part into European projects.
During their mobility in a company in Bristol for 4 weeks in the final year (upper 6th), the trainees gave a European dimension to their professional, scholar, personal and cultural learning.
They apprehended a culture, a theoretical subject until then, they joined a professional team.
They learnt and put into practice different working methods.
They compared their professional competences and skills with the ones of the host country (transversal competences) and applied all the well-being rules they have learned. They also dealt with a new social background.
• On the one hand the professional experience and the new were recognized through the Europass Mobility. This experience completed the training they had in the European Section and they will be able to pass the European Section distinction for the exam “Baccalauréat” in June 2016.
On the other hand, the monitoring and the assessments of the internship done during the time of the project were incorporated to the final mark of the exam. That’s why we specifically paid attention to the search of internships in order to follow the reference document of the exam.
All the participants already had the new distinction to their exam “EuroMobiPro”.
It was all about giving a “capital gain”, a most value, a quality and an acknowledgement to their exam.
Above all else, giving a European extent was also giving a professional value.
• These students from disadvantaged backgrounds have found a way to live a European professional, human, cultural and language experience. Getting these students into an Erasmus Plus Programme was giving them the opportunity to reduce social barriers and to get better professional equity. Through the professional European dynamism this experience has given them the opportunity to develop their capacity of adaptation and autonomy, their professional skills in the commerce and service sections, their multilingualism and their knowledge of more cultures.
It was a matter of putting them at ease, à l’AISE (Autonomy, Inclusion of Student in Europe).
