International work based learning for students is one of the strategic themes of our organisation. Our target is to make students, teachers, staff and schools more international and make the quality of exchange periods better. Every participant will develope their language skills, social skills, professional skills, attitude, tolerance and entrepreneurship. In this project we send 49 students, 5 staff members and 1 working life representantive to work based learning periods abroad. Additionaly we send a group of one teacher and 3 students with special needs to work period. This means real work in real work places. 7 staff members will participate meetings and visits abroad. During the work based learning periods both students and staff collect cultural differencies in work places, free time and everyday life. This information will help next travellers to meet the differencies in other countries. Another task during the exchange is to compare the product mix of a work place of a Finnish and foreign employer. It gives students a possibility to meet and interview company owners and directorus of work places and develope their entrepreneurship skills. The projects affects students employment and the internationality of schools. Cultural results of the project can be used when training students for future exchange periods. Information of entrepreneurship can be used in education in our schools. All information will be put on our web site for open use.
