„Arts Included" was born primarily out of the need of volunteers from organizations belonging to the consortium and of young people from local communities of them to understand the importance of involving in the fight against discrimination, marginalization and hate speech, but also to participate actively and creatively in promotion of the European principles of tolerance, solidarity, cultural diversity, equality and non-discrimination. The project aimed to stimulate the young people active participation in the promotion of the social solidarity, tolerance, equality, the fight against discrimination and hate speech. The project objectives were: - To promote the non-formal education methods in social inclusion projects. - To develop key competences among young people. - To include 10 young people with few opportunities in the project activities. - To develop a visual tool for the promotion of the EU principles regarding solidarity, tolerance, equality and non-discrimination among young people. - To develop the intercultural dimension and pro social inclusion behaviours among the young participants. The main activity was a youth exchange held between 19th and 28th of April 2016, in Bacau, Romania, with the participation of 36 young people and group leaders from Romania, Italy, Poland, Macedonia and Spain. The youth exchange lasted for 10 days and the working sessions followed the personal, professional and social development of the young participants, but also the promotion of the cultural diversity and social inclusion. Within the youth exchange there were held sessions that have facilitated the exchange between the young participants and creative sessions based on visual arts, forum theatre, storytelling, paper motion animation, etc. The methodology was based on non-formal learning methods and tools, as forum theatre, flash mob, paper motion animation, creative learning methods, learning by doing, group work, socio educative animation, flash mob, etc. The project s results are: - 5 articles about discrimination - 6 paintings addressing the fight against discrimination and hate speech - a series of videos made through paper motion animation to promote the no hate speech movement and tolerance between young people. - 1 story tale book (made through storytelling and visual arts). - 2 forum theatre role plays. - The project s promotion materials. The project s impact can be observed especially at the young participant s level, as they have developed themselves personally and professional, acquiring key competences.
