The project promotes cooperation betweentwo twin-cities on the Latvian-Belarusianborder, namely Daugavpils (LV) andVitebsk (BY). Contacts between both citieshave been developed for a long timeand with this project is it also established inthe field of cultural industry by promotingsuch world famous artists as Mark Rothkoand Marc Chagall, as these cities are thebirthplaces of these painters.The project facilitates the socio-economicdevelopment on the cross-border territory byutilizing the potential of cultural industry.As a result project creates cooperationmodel for promotion of Chagall-Rothkoevents on both sides of the border; organizesM.Chagall & M.Rothko cultural events:plain-airs, readings and art exhibitions, artevents for children and youth; improvescultural infrastructure of cultural objectives inboth sides and organizes PR and marketingcampaign.
