Art For Inclusion is a training course for 24 youth workers from 8 partner countries (Slovakia, Austria, Poland, Armenia, Georgia, Bulgaria, Italy and Slovenia). It is organised by an international team of 4 trainers under the supervision of a Slovak cultural centre Stanica, NGO Truc sphérique. The training course will take place in Modra, Slovakia on the 25th September to 2nd October 2016.The main aim of the training course is to equip youth workers and youth leaders with the competences to use artistic forms of expression as a tool for inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities. The specific objectives are following:· to explore the issue of inclusion in our societies and explore artistic tools to foster social inclusion· to learn and experience artistic methods as tools for bringing positive change to personal and professional life of young people · to create space for participants to share and explore artistic tools used in their realities· to inspire participants to discover their own potential, use their creativity, imagination and skills· to develop new artistic activities for more inclusive youth work· to create network for future cooperation in creating new youth projects in Erasmus +We will use several innovative and articipative methods of non-formal education, peer learning, outdoor activities and creative learning methods. Participants will explore the issue of inclusion and stereotypes in simulation exercises, group work and discussions. They will experience different artistic methods used in youth work by attending several workshops on dance, theater, photography and painting. They will develop new training methods and create their own workshops, suited for the specific groups of disadvantaged youth. The main outcome will be a toolbox of the methods used and developed throughout the training course that can be shared with other youth organisations. As the project involves 8 organizations from all over Europe, we expect that it will have an impact on fostering networking of European youth organizations and improving the quality of youth work in Europe. We hope that implementing artistic approaches and methods will be used more often in youth work and non-formal education on all levels as they have a important impact on young people, their ability to express themselves, overcoming their barriers and limitations, communicating better and increasing the quality of life on all levels. For young people with fewer opportunities, communication through art can be very helpful in improving their self-confidence, self-realization and self-awareness.
