ARIANE 4
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The « Ariane 4 » project puts the trainee in the heart of a mobility process, using social and education workers of Brittany’s territory and foreign companies abroad. Carried by JTM, which is very experienced in realizing European, local and county work placement or job programs abroad, this project joins the Europe strategy 2020 and allows the youngsters who are far from mobility to access to training abroad. Its aim is to “bring young people from Brittany who are facing difficulties regarding employment or education to increase their employability gaining key-skills”. So, 150 trainees can make an activity of vocational training (EVT) abroad. Trainning from 4 to 17 weeks (regarding the participant’s situation) will take place from September 2015 until April 2017. Followed by “pole emploi/job center” and the “missions locales” or other social workers and school-dropping actor’s, they are between 18 and 30 without any qualification or no professional experience linked to their professional project and they are in a job-seeking or willing to access to education. International mobility is then a tool for getting back in movement and taking a positive path. Our project is based on each candidate’s objective. That this one is on an orientation, reorientation phase, or looking for a first professional experience or handicapped… Each project is unique and our support is adapted to everyone in partnership with the hosts companies. Often, the candidates are in a failure spiral (lack of professional experience and difficulties to find their first job) and they have lost self-confidence. The project allows the participants to work on their own skills in order to be more “employable” or to get into a new training with more confidence in France or abroad. It’s about valuing the know-how linked with the employment market : ability to adapt to another culture, to integrate a team-work, discovering a new way of working and a new way of thinking the work. A work placement is also the opportunity to get a new expertise or to get an orientation to their path after a diploma. At the end of this experience, the trainees will come back with a brand new self-confidence. Besides, they will have a European consciensness which will value them and their key-skills. Finally, in total dumping in another European country, they will apply or will improve their language skills. To conclude, the participants to this program will have all the assets, the capacities and the means (technical and financial) to commit actively in their professional insertion approach and to use one of the key-skills: the ability to learn to learn which will be useful all along their professional and personal life. This project also allows structuring a social workers‘ network in Brittany using tools that they agree with the relevance. It also allows the young people to reinvest their experience for the benefit of other young people and to reinforce the impact of the mobility when they get back to France. It allows increasing awareness on the meeting between the people in the construction of a common identity as European citizen.
