Context of the project The project took place at the French Alliance of Moldova in Chisinau. The volunteer was asked to intervene during the French courses conducted in universities and schools to talk about art, architecture, history of France and the European Union. The volunteer mission had also put online articles and information on the website of the French Alliance and establish Francophone parties. General Objectives: To promote Links between Moldova and France (organization of cultural events in Universities, schools and Alliance Française of Chisinau) To develop mutual understanding between young people from different cultures To increase awareness about European Citizenship Number and type/profile of participant: We had no specific requirements for the selection of the candidate. We had a young volunteer , Myriem, who spoke French and English. She has adapted to the new environment and teamwork. She has taken initiatives and was involved in projects demonstrating openness. She has met all our expectations. Main activities of the volunteer: Organizing and assisting the organization of various activities for the young people at universities and schools (workshops, outside events, performances, concerts, volunteer actions etc) Organizing promotional events for the organization and its activities Organizing presentations on French culture, cuisine, arts etc Results and impact attained: This project contributed to the promotion of voluntary, non - formal education, inclusion of youth in cooperation. Volunteer and other participants in the project were able to gain a unique personal and professional experience in working together in the European mind. The volunteer and members of organizations provided information and supports other organizations, youth associations and youth who want to participate or contribute to the EVS project. Through this project more people learned about the EVS service and opportunities that the EU offers young and associations. Also, the project improved the communication on the activities, projects and objectives of partner organizations and helped develop volunteering. The project contributes to young people's education process at international level, develops the feeling of European citizens and remains focused on the problems of the European Union.
