Andragogų meistriškumo tobulinimas - suaugusiųjų mokymosi kokybei didinti
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

Goal of the project - increasing quality of adult learning in consortium institutions by developing andragogical competences of the staff. In 2014 Lithuanian Association of Adult Education renewed it's strategy. We identified areas where our members need developing the competences of the staff mostly (according the classification of Buiskool B., Broek S.D., van Lakerveld J.A., Zafiris G.K., Osborne M. Key Competences for adult learning professionals, 2010):-Competence in empowering adult learners;-Competence in dealing with group dynamics and heterogeneity in the background, learning needs, motivation and prior experience of adult learners (especially paying attention to the immigrant groups);-Competence on advising on career, life, further development and, if necessary, the use of professional help; Those competencies are important to all members of consortium (that was the base of creating consortium). Last analyses made by EU and OECD revealed that Lithuania is not prepared for influx of immigrants and for their integration. Immigrants do net receive general and specialized assistance, which should insure that they will get job corresponding their qualifications or will be directed to the appropriate training program. Lithuanian social care, health care, education and other social services proving institutions are not prepared for work with immigrants, because up till now practically there was no such need. International mobility plan of the consortium includes training courses. We plan to send our staff for courses to Germany and Italy, where is necessary competence. Based on the agreement of the members of consortium regarding development areas and we will create thematic groups of the staff and according the concrete needs of the groups we will select institutions and courses for mobilities. To ensure the sustainability of project results we will prepare methodical programme for dissemination of the results of mobilities for increasing andragogical mastery. Information about the project will be disseminated through Web-sites and Facebook profiles of members of consortium. Special Facebook profile will be created also. Members of mobilities will make presentations in their institutions, will share their knowledge with other institutions locally and with other members of LAAE. They will publish 3 - 4 publications in local press and in the EPALE platform. One issue of the bulleting of LAAE "Savišvieta" (Self-Education) will be devoted to the dissemination results of the project. Careful selection of participants, working with participants during preparation period, dissemination of the results of mobilities and ensuring of sustainability of the results will create the conditions for increasing quality of adult learning of members of consortium. We plan to involve 16 participants in mobility activities.
