AN.DI.BAS: Animatori Digitali della Basilicata
AN.DI.BAS: Animatori Digitali della Basilicata
Start date: Oct 1, 2016,
End date: Sep 30, 2017
PROJECT
FINISHED
Over the last few years, the Regional Education Authority of Basilicata has developed a strong policy aiming at internationalizing and digitizing the Schools of Basilicata through effective systemic policies that led to the birth of the "European Helpdesk" in support of the internationalization of the schools of Basilicata and to the signing of network protocols with the establishment of 212 classes 2.0 and 14 schools 2.0.The mobility project AN.DI.BAS., proposed by this Consortium, involves thirty digital animators (figures introduced by the Law 107/2015 who will follow, for the next three years, the process of digitization of their own school), coming from different schools (18 primary and middle schools and 12 secondary schools – high schools and vocational schools) of Basilicata, with the objective of letting them live an experience of training in digital technology in a European dimension. The group is made up of thirty highly-motivated teachers with great experience and the inclination to innovate. They work in challenging contexts, most of which, however, lack experience in the European dimension. The mobility abroad could give them the opportunity to search for and test different solutions in the digital environment, to observe new teaching practices, to examine new models of training and school organization, to learn about new products and tools in support of quality and costs, to promote the collaboration and the exchange of experiences and best practices among teachers from different countries, thus contributing to putting the European dimension into practice. The project AN.DI.BAS. would create a group of "digital excellencies", with a leadership role within their own school and the Distretto Scol@stico 2.0 of Basilicata, that will become a center of quality and excellence in the processes of internationalization and digital innovation of the region, in an operating context which will be absolutely new and European-centered.13 digital animators will be engaged in jobshadowing activities in Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Netherlands and Spain, in order to come into direct contact with different organizations and to direct their actions towards the dissemination of the innovative practices observed in European contexts of excellence.17 digital animators, instead, will be engaged in structured courses organised by excellent training organisations, selected in accordance with the objectives and the areas for improvement, as identified by the National Reform Programme of School (Law 107/2015). The courses, which will be held in Belgium, Estonia, Finland, UK and Sweden, will focus on the development of creativity and innovation in education, on computational thinking, coding, the use of tablets and other devices in the new school characterized by new ICTs and new learning environments. The project AN.DI.BAS. will bring European innovation into all the schools of Basilicata, with knock-on effects in terms of experiences and new skills acquired by digital animators. The first beneficiaries will be the teachers of the schools where the digital animators work, then, through the dissemination action of the network Distretto Scol@stico 2.0, all the digital animators of the region, the teachers of the Team for Innovation, the teachers included in the regional lists of trainers, the students, the public opinion and the stakeholders. The main objective of the dissemination activity will be to share information both on the project itself and on its activities and results, highlighting its added value and innovativeness. We want to ensure the largest possible dissemination of the project AN.DI.BAS in the different contexts, at local, regional, national and European level, and optimizing the value of training in mobility abroad through every possible means: school board meetings, regional public events, workshops and webinars, local media, social media, eTwinning platform, booklets, pamphlets, brochures, and through dedicated web sites. The mobility project proposed by this Consortium, then, aims not only at providing a personal enrichment for the digital animator but also at having knock-on effects on the school community in terms of knowledge, know-how and expertise, especially in the digital environment, triggering a cultural process in terms of teaching, training and teaching models.
