Municipal agency "Cesis Culture and Tourism center" provides a possibility to participate in educational amateur arts activities for ~480 people in Cesis. Agency's strategy foresees its further engaging in European networks, developing competencies of employees in international cooperation, thus improving the quality of education in amateur arts. Project objective is to raise the qualification of amateur arts employees in Cesis Culture centre, giving knowledge in amateur arts' advocating in cultural policies, cultural work with marginalized social groups and cooperation in international networks, learning form experiences of other EU countries. 3 employees will participate in these training events: 1) international conference on networking voluntary and amateur arts organizations across Europe, including digital platforms, in Croatia, 2) training course about cultural work with marginalized social groups in Slovenia, 3) experience exchange seminar about advocating amateur arts in cultural policies in the United Kingdom. As a result the employees will gain the knowledge about the role of amateur arts in cultural policy building, main arguments for advocating amateur arts in EU, work of European cooperation networks in voluntary and amateur arts, methods of cultural work with marginalized social groups, communication and international cooperation skills. Cesis Culture and Tourism center will be able to improve its services in amateur arts education, gaining an active position in local, national and European cultural policy building. Bigger attention will provide to socially excluded groups of the local society, thus ensuring equal access to education in amateur arts.
