Baskin Association organizes a youth exchange at Cremona from 02nd to 10th July 2016, by hosting 3 groups of 15 participants with and without disability, coming from Barcelone, Lyon and Milan, with a smaller group of 5 young "group-leaders" with and without disability from Cremona, which will have the role of facilitating, animating, accompanying, or driving the activity programme. This exchange takes place in Italy at Cremona after the three groups of participants will have parallely developped preparatory meetings and shared their experience through online communication tools.During all the exchange, participants will be actively involved in testing new "all'ympic games", through the practice of Baskin and other inclusive sports inspired by Baskin spirit and Baskin innovative methodology. Baskin (inclusive basketball) is a new sport that can make everybody and anyone compete in the same field: men and women, sporting experts and beginners, with and without disability, physical or mental one.Furthermore, the idea is to get inspiration from Baskin spirit not only for sport activities but for social life in general. The sports field is a metaphor for life, a laboratory of society, a democratic fiction, a place organized as an ideal society in which everyone can play their part by participating in the collective success and contributing to the common wellbeing. In this case, social inclusion means overcoming boundaries, barriers and prejudices, stimulating a different thought, open and innovative, which is based on a new cultural model and new forms of sociability. This project offers an intercultural community experience based on human diversity, as a powerfull opportunity of non formal education for everyone, giving to all participants equal opportunity to be part of an active citizenship spread throughout Europe.
