AKKRO FUN SCHOOL TOGETHER: This youth exchange project will take place in October 29 to November 5, 2014 in Belgium and will involve 12 young Belgian and 12 young Turks. It will focus on the active participation of young people in their learning process. Through this exchange project, we want to allow troubled young people and their leaders to experiment various informal learning, in conjunction with formal learning (schools) in the purpose to facilitate fulfillment, active participation, development and enhancement of their skills. Various local and regional partners will be involved , as well as the local population and the families, in a mutual enrichment purpose. The management team will consist of experienced social workers, teachers, artists and facilitators. Belgian and Turkish youth have the opportunity to develop and enhance verbal, non-verbal, artistic communication skills. They will be open to other ways of learning and enrich each other through active participation in local festivities, organizing an intercultural evening, a graffiti workshop, through formal and informal discussions and meetings... This project follows a first exchange that took place in Turkey on October 2013 with the same Turkish partner. It’s part of a logic of reciprocity. The active participation of young people will be the guiding thread of this exchange and this criterion will be evaluated with youth throughout the process.
