ADONIS - Advanced On-The-Job e-Training Solutions in e-Business for SMEs
The project will develop the ADONIS e-learning environment to contribute to the development of e-Business in European SMEs, particularly in the Tourism and Culture sector. The ADONIS package (internet-based) will be presented through a range of software solutions, training courseware and support documentation.Training will be provided in the use of ADONIS tools and services for SMEs to operate as; information suppliers (training in website construction, and use of electronic publishing tools), information receivers (use of databases for archiving, use of user profiling tools) and information exchangers (use of messaging and joint-co-operation tools). Additionally, there will be assistance in catalysing SME e-Business activities such as training in the development of business plans, business models and e-commerce activity. Overall, there will be 15 individual training modules developed for access through the ADONIS platform.The major expected impact of the project is that of raising further understanding and awareness of e-Business in the target SME sector and channelling e-Business success factors through these virtual communities. On-the-job training in the ADONIS environment is expected to serve as a fast-track for SMEs towards European e-Economy.
