The EVS project “Activism for Better Citizens through media” involves 3 italian volunteers sent by the association Eurobox, which coordinates the project as well. They are going to participate in promotional activities about European citizenship and human rights through different medias, organized by the United Nation of Balkans, based in Thessalonikic, Greece. The project is planned as a 10 months EVS service that starts in October 2016 until July 2017. The The basic aim of the project is to give the opportunities to the volunteers to promote youth opportunities and stimulate discussion on social themes such as democracy, Peace, human rights through tha partecipation in a web radio, tv, online magazines etc... The principal objectives are the following: -Involve youngsters from different backgrounds in activities linked to human rights, through the use of medias aiming to relay knowledge and experience that can help them in the labour market; -Support the volunteers in active participating in local community and the origin comunity, encouraging them in proposing new projects; - give a chance for a personal growth to the volunteer, through a EU mobility experience that stimulate him/her to learn, grow and aknowledge; -raise awareness on European sense of belonging, human rights, European and global values, discovering identities and differences among cultures; The impact will be strong on personal and professional grouth of the volunteers, on the diffusion of volunteering experiences , on the support tu european identity in the hosting community and the networking between the associations involved that will spread the project through their channels.
