Active Rainbow project is a long term project which consists of two youth exchanges and its mission is to promote social inclusion and combat the discrimination of young LGBTQI+ people in society. It will involve 80 young people coming from Greece, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Macedonia. The project aims :- to increase the mobility of youth with fewer opportunities by bringing together 80 young people in total, from 8 European countries and organisations which work in their youth field with the LGBTQI+ community.- to increase the personal and professional skills of the 80 mobilities during the main activities.- to improve the local impact of the LGBTQI+ context in the local communities of each partner country by organising and delivering workshops after each youth exchange.- to launch an on line collaborative awareness-raising campaign for LGBTQI+ youth and expand the advocate tools and actions.Participants of the exchanges will be coming from the LGBTQI+ and heterosexual community and are in need to explore their identity or new ways and actions of promoting the LGBTQI+ rights in their countries. In the first youth exchange we aim for the youth to reach emancipation, freedom of expression and accept one's identity. To practice management skills when organising an activity, exchange on the LGBTQI+ rights, needs and issues nowadays and define the needs of LGBTQI+ youngsters in their local communities.In the second youth exchange we will exchange good practices and knowledge of media, social media and awareness raising tools and how to use them for creating impact on the topic of sexuality and diversity, to identify how social media and media discriminate LGBTQI+ people and how to combat it and launch the campaign.We will implement informal learning activities in which participants will come together, exchange, learn by doing and they constantly reflect upon their learning process and outcomes. We believe Active Rainbow will have a profound impact to all the individuals participating directly and indirectly to the project. That it will achieve its mission by engaging more people starting from the local communities to national and European level.This impact will be achieved through the results that we will create and spread which are : workshops in local communities to bring the topic in the core of societies, on line campaign which will last beyond the end of the project to keep spreading the message for social inclusion and combating discrimination, publications with informal learning tools and how to work with media and young LGBTQI+ people and short documentaries videos which will be at all time available in video platforms and ready to be spread.The potential longer term benefits out of the project and the results of it is that those results will be available for the people to reach, implement and expand furthermore in order to continue the mission, spread the impact and for civil society to last.
