The major aim of the project is to strengthen the competitive abilities and active lifestyle of local communities of Vilkaviškis district municipality and municipality of Suwałki through improving public infrastructure objects in the cross-border regions. Expected Results: Project activities include the reconstruction of one town square in Kybartai (Vilkaviškis district), reconstruction of one local road in the borderline area on Polish side, organisation of one sports event - bicycle tour from Wizajny to Kybartai with 40 participants, organisation of one sports event "Active neighbours day" in Kybartai, information dissemination as well as encouraging active lifestyle of local communities in the cross-border areas. The management of the project will be continuously supervised by the joint Lithuanian-Polish project Board, which will consist of representatives from both project partners.
