EVS project "Action through Art against Bullying"based in Torino, Italy, involving 1 volunteer (age between 18 and 30 years old) from Russian Federation, will last 12 months (from June 15th 2015 to June 15th 2016), has been proposed by Associazione Centro Studi Sereno Regis (as coordinatin and hosting organisation) and SFERA Movement (as sending organisation).
EVS Project promotes volunteering of a young person to contrast phenomena as Bullying, Cyberbullying, Hate Speech and to educate to a positive use of ITC in a environment of intercultural exchange with italian young volunteers.
Volunteer will get involved in activities that: promote youth wellbeing in virtual and real world, tolerance and solidarity between young people contrasting violence and discrimination phenomena such as bullying, cyberbullying and Hate Speech using artistic means and positive use of ITC.
Bullying in Italy is growing, 34,7 % of young people have witnessed situations of bullying.
Volunteer will be active for 32 hours per week in the following activities:
Project planning and implementation of educational activities with non formal approach on the topic of bullying in schools with italian volunteers
Organisation of artistic labs for teenagers and childen on the topic of "creativity against bullying"
Self-training on nonviolent management of conflicts, non formal education, active participation of young people approach
Creation of a web documentary about the project to spread the results
Qualitative and experiential research on how young people live situations of bullying through storytelling approach
Campaigning on web against violence
Organisation of trainings for youth workers to spread the results of the projects and dissemination events for young poeple.
During EVS, volunteer can:
Get knowledge about bullying, cyberbullying and hate speech online
Develop life skills such as listening, communication, awarness about multiple identities, capacity of relate to others with an intercultural approach, empathy, solidarity, emotional awarness, self esteem, availability to be active and get involved for a fair society,
Develop competences on using ITC for social campaigning
Be aware of european values
Be active on educational and social work and inside the Erasmus + Programme
Learn how to plan, realize, facilitate, evaluate educational activities on the topics of the project, to act in a transnational context, to have a confrontation with volunteers coming from different geographical contexts in a common vision of young wellbeing.
Target of the activities of EVS volunteer are:
1000 students of secondary and high schools involved in educational activities
100 teenagers involved in artistic labs on the topic of bullying
1000 young people participating in dissemination activities
1000 access the web documentary of the project
40 young italian volunteers develop their capacities together with evs volunteer
40 youth workers get trained on the base of the experience developed during the project
SFERA Movement and CSSR will continue to share best practices and common projects against violence between young people.
