ACERISH – Améliorer les compétences des encadrants, renforcer l’intégration sociale des personnes handicapées

The project aims at producing innovative training methodologies and strategies useful to foster self confidence and self consciousness in the professional lives of people with mental handicap. The partners have a great experience in the field of the individual use and re-use of specific formal and informal competences, know how and communicative skills of mental handicapped people. An independent daily life and a convincing professional life are of course consistent with their specific handicap, with their life quality and guarantee a higher level of social integration and a more realistic right to citizenship. The specific objectives of the proposal are 1) the deeper definition of roles, tasks and competences of the professional profiles concerned with the management of the human resources of handicapped people; 2) the elaboration of deeper contents for the training and upgrading of professionals who usually have general information on technical, social and clinical issues about the mental handicaps; 3) the comparison of different pedagogical models with the aim of producing innovative, common, transnational specialising contents; 4) the comparison of different, national laws with the aims of analysing their contents and producing innovative methodologies for the mutual recognition of qualifications in the field of the management of the human resources of handicapped people; 5) the socio-cultural dissemination of an innovative basic concept: the mental handicapped well being is always linked with, and depends on, the life conditions determined by their own disturbs and by the effects of therapies and treatments.
