By hosting a young Slovak, our school, a 460-student rural college in the Western part of France, would like to increase its open-mindedness to the world and to raise awareness among our young students from 14 to 20 years old but also among their families and the inhabitants onto the diversity and cultural wealth of the European Union thanks to the applicant’s presence.The main activities suggested to reach these goals are:- The cultural and sport activities, the socio-educational groups concerning foreign languages and European citizenship- The introduction to the young people or the inhabitants of the local community of Pouzauges, either in large or small groups- The involvement of the applicant to the preparation and the achievement of school trips linked to Europe- Her help to developing the school’s means of communication.To achieve all this, the supervising team will support the applicant daily to prepare and organise the different activities and will schedule some weekly meetings to assess the impact of the assignments.Thanks to her presence, the applicant will help promote the European Voluntary Service (EVS), the European diversity, and will also help to develop a school exchange or an associative exchange between our structure/our town and a Slovak structure/town that may lead to the creation of a twinning.
