The ABIL-MENTE project aims at promoting the labour market insertion of disabled persons, in particular those with physical, mental and/or sensorial disabilities. Project partners will initially establish minimum quality standards specific to labour market insertion of the target group. This will be followed by analysis and assessment of the training needs of professionals able to support this labour market insertion and the subsequent development of a new professional profile. End project results will include a European database on the labour market insertion of disabled persons; an outline evaluation procedure for the establishment of minimum quality standards and a catalogue of innovative job profiles and related curricula specific to the field of labour market insertion. Beneficiaries include young disabled persons in vocational training; training providers; training & human resources experts; social workers and labour market specialists. Dissemination activities will last throughout the project lifetime and will include the distribution of printed materials, the launch of a dedicated project website and the hosting of transnational project conferences.
