PROJECT
FINISHED
EUROSARD I is essentially a progression of the last 8 LEONARDO files and confirms the will of our agricultural college “ les Sardières” to maintain and deepen its work in network within the framework of its mission of international cooperation fixed by the MAAF. Every file was a step forward; the team, thanks to its past experience, wishes to take advantage of advances in a new project. The internships abroad for pupils from initial training are registered in the school’ project and in the regional project. The department authority, the Regional Department of Training and Development ( SRFD), the Regional board of Agriculture of Food and Forest ( DRAAF) also asserted their will to develop the international opening by the organisation of the International Cooperation Days in 2012 at the horticultural high school of LYON-DARDILLY and the creation of the regional network Educoop. This network gathers the agricultural colleges of Rhône-Alpes and one of its objectives aims at favouring and at developing the professional internships in Europe. It is a good way to strengthen the initiatives and to lead quality projects. This project is set up to allow 15 young people between 16 and 17 years and preparing a Vocational or Technological high school diploma, to experiment an individual placement in a company of their domain of training (agriculture, food-processing industry). The preparation for this project is divided in several parts: preparation for the internship in administrative, cultural, professional and linguistic terms; these activities take place essentially during multidisciplinary sessions, during meetings with families and people involved in the project and require the skills of various staff of the school. During their placement, the students will thus take advantage of this mobility at every level, they will be able to enrich their work experience, to acquire or to deepen their language skills through the exchanges with families and to open their minds as human beings and as European citizens. After their placements, the pupils will present their internships both in French and in English (for some aspects) to the educational community and to the students who are possible future candidates, which aims at allowing to motivate their mates to European exchanges and to create enriching exchanges. Thus, at the end of their professional program, these young people can appear on the job market provided with a résumé enriched with a European professional mobility synonym of curiosity, opening, autonomy, adaptability... The purposes of these internships come by the acquisition of new professional, linguistic and cultural skills allowing young people to be more adaptable to the job market and to have a real European consciousness. This project will allow to perpetuate existing partnerships, to renew with former ones or to develop new ones. The results will widely be broadcast by stressing the positive aspects of this project during the regional cooperation seminars, official meetings, accounts of former candidates but also thanks to the media, web sites or the school’s open days.
