Youth exchange project "Daugavpils Multiculti" will last 11 months (01.08.2016 - 30.07.2017) in Daugavpils city, Latvia. Project themes are creativity and culture, intercultural communication and communication between generations, as well as young people's free time.The main theme of present project is family traditions, which is very close to that of various traditional art and activity forms. We would like to devote this project to the public, in particular, representatives of different generations and identities as the outcome of the project - a family festival, which will be carried out on May 27. Project participants will have the opportunity to contribute to the improvement of the cultural image of Daugavpils - with their performances and their involvement in project activities. In this way, the public will see that the traditions, art and culture will not lose their importance for a long time, rather than encourage new ideas and visions for the future of the new projects of identity preservation.The aim of the project "Daugavpils Multiculti" is to attract attention of young people from different countries and to improve the project participants’ traditional artistic skills, thus giving young people the opportunity to display their ideology by the means of traditional family activities and contribute to their tolerance towards different cultures and social realities.Project activities will last 9 days (20.05.2017-28.05.2017), with the participation of 30 young people from different countries: Latvia, Italy, Croatia, Romania and Spain.During the activities, participants will be able to not only participate in workshops, develop and draw some ideas, but also to prepare their performances or share their traditional skills, thus presenting their field of creative activities, cooperate and communicate in an informal way, to participate in discussions, express their creativity and to make sure once again that the cultures really differ. By implementing the measures provided to the project there will be developed young people's communication skills, the social and language barriers between the participants will removed. As the main activity there will be carried out a cultural party it will be the final common event.TARGET AUDIENCE:• young people / youth leaders;• Project participants must be 16-30 years oldLANGUAGE:EnglishThe project will involve 30 young people from 5 Erasmus+ Programme Countries. Five young people and one youth leader from each country.
