FINISHED
Through the working experience of our organization and the partners we have met people coming from different backgrounds and professions. At one the projects organized by our partners, we have met a medical students who proposed a project idea related to health. The idea to do a youth exchange on this topic was really interesting and with the help of the group of 4th year medical students the outstanding program for the project has been designed. We name the project "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body" in which we tend to combine the innovative spirit of non-formal education with the medical science and education of youth about health, active sport practising and healthy lifestyle in general. During the youth exchange, 40 young people from Estonia, Poland, Italy, Macedonia and Czech Republic will come and work on topics closely related to young people. These young people will be able to broaden their knowledge on many topics related to health, but also, afterwards to transfer their knowledge in the places, where they live. Addictions, infection, diseases of modern time and numerous food and health issues young people face nowadays will be discussed via interactive games, team works, simulation games, presentations. The main goal of the project will be to educate young people and make them aware about the importance of their health and how to prevent diseases and protect themselves and their families. During the research done in the creation of the project application, we have also detected that young people always work on topics more related to art and culture. The topic of heath is a little less actual, but on the other hand, it is extremely important. This is one of the main reasons we decided to design a project related to heath, where participants will get practical advice on healthy lifestyle, daily life routines, prevention of infections, giving first aid techniques when there are people in need and general knowledge about practice of healthy habits and healthy life. This project is interesting from one more perspective, its European dimension. Via this project participants will learn, but they will also bring knowledge and experiences from their home countries. They will have the opportunity to prepare their own practical activity and present health tips to the other participants. All of these segments will bring out the intercultural dimension, but they will also teach young people how to become responsible and active European citizens.
