The project "A piece of Europe in my Schools" has been created with the goal of promoting the intercultural echange between europeans citizens. We would like to do it through the integration on non-formal learning inside schools, where learners almost have only access to formal learning. Brought by EVS volunteers, this will give the opportunity to the young learners of this schools to make their secondary schooling in a more internationalized and playful context. In order to reach those goals and objectives, the EVS volunteers will do their activities in High schools close to the city center of Nîmes. This high shcools have a stong motivation to make intercultural exchange happen and to encourage their young people to participate in European mobility projects. As members of the schools team,s the EVS volunteers will have the opportunity to work on some different activities : -Help with the learning of foreign languages using non-formal learning tools (in collaboration with foreign languages teachers);-Animation of the "European kiosk" installed in schools by the House of Europe of Nîmes;-Help with the pre-departure of the young people before their European mobility (mostly with interships in the Erasmus + programme);-Creation and animation of leisure time activities in the common room using non-formal learning methods;-Creation and animation of European events (European day, European day of languages, 20 years anniversary of the European Voluntary Service program, ...);- Aide à la recherche de stages à l'étranger pour les lycéens souhaitant partir en mobilité;-Help with the seeking of interships abroad for students with motivation to do it abroad;-...In order to do this project, four volunteers will be hosted by the Lycée Saint Vincent de Paul de Nîmes and the "Lycée de la CCI de Nîmes", whithin which they will do their activities. Those will be done using non-formal learning methods. The EVS volunteers will have training courses to learn how to run those activities. The volunteers will have also the liberty to create and run their own project in order to develop their competences interm of creativity and iniciative-taking. They will also be in permanent contact with their coordinating organisation, the House of Europe in Nîmes, who will take care of the quality of the project and will be a ressources center for their learning process and for their integration into the local community. All partners of this project have the motivation to give the opportunity to the volunteers to have an experience as fullfilling as possible in term of personnal divelopment as well as professionnal development.Expected results of this project are a better understanding between our European citizens as well as a better intercultural understanding and a better European integration inside our local community.
