The project Oh, I want to be is going to be realized from February until December 2012(about 325 days). The main theme of the project is psychical development. It also concerns physical and social aspects of primary school pupils functioning which are taken from the positive psychology and the holistic pedagogy. The project will be organized in School Complex nr 7 in Wroclawska Street, Gdynia. Two hundred schoolchildren are going to take part in this project. The goals and priorities of Oh, I want to be project are convergent with the needs of the school. As far as the project is concerned, we are going to organize many interactive workshops, panel discussions which will be conducted using many various art and sport forms of education as well as innovative methods of teaching. Our workshops will be realized with the use of methods from non-formal and peers’ education. The main point of our project is promotion of after school activities with an individual approach to every student who has the ability to self-improve in harmony with his own needs, capabilities and preferences. We would like to encourage young people to function consciously relying on positive values and to improve their own potential. We are also going to engage in our project the children who have fewer opportunities such as children form orphanages or integrated classes. We expect our project to minimize educational problems, broaden students’ life experience and wisdom, which will make their functioning in higher levels of education easier. The project is realized by students and graduates from Tricity and Warsaw Colleges. We would like to prop up youngsters in the beginning of education to help them build internal energy which is needed to keep up with the pace of life nowadays.
