The aim of the project is building the European identity among youth groups being on a margin of their own societies, staying usually in closed institutions like reformatories. Young people include in the project (16-21 years old) is a group with dysfunctional social background (alcohol, violence, poverty), also with low social competitions and educational deficiency. This social background cause that the most of the participants, from the earliest years, are social exclusion – do not take an active participation in the social nor cultural life. Usually they live only in the closed area of theirs streets or districts. The group is demoralized with minor criminal records. These conditions cause their life is embraced with the high risk of failure. The possibility of participation and inclusion into the international Exchange building the European identity enable them creating new reference points, which is the first important stem to change their life.
During the 8 days exchange participants will integrate with their European colleagues having similar experiences, which will allow them to understand better own situation and to find own place in life and in Europe. Project is a chance for the international integration, building communication competences and widening the knowledge about Europe. It is important to highlight that the exchange will take place in Bukowina Tatrzanska (beautiful small town in Polish Mountains). Youth will stay in open area, near the nature, surrounded by mountains which is important therapeutic factor, because living in nature and overcoming their problems will help shape their characters.
