Our newly opened school accepts its students regarding national exam results and is the third best high school in Edremit according to success ststistics. Besides, our school is situated in a disadventageous environment in terms of physical and social aspects. Our objective is to develop a more quality, creative and innovative education concept and to enhance our education level by using tecnological equipments, having team work principle and getting into international partnerships on project basis in order to overcome the disadvantages of our school’s location. Thus we want to enable our school community to have an international education vision, to be a school which is followed and taken as an example by other schools and public and to increase the number of students who enter university.
To achieve our goal we plan to conduct a series of activities including the courses ‘ The Benchmarking, How to make your school more international ? and How to use tablets in Education? ‘ which are organized by Euneos. The educators who are open to creative and innovative approaches, give importance to his professional development, believe in team spirit and can cooperate with collagues will attend to these courses. Six of our staff who are responsible for school policy plan, school management, school boards, who are in strategic group, who has colloquial English, who monitors education in school and who are from different subject groups will join ‘ The Benchmarking Course’ and will learn about innovative education methods, digital education environments and School managin ang organizing models in different European school by visiting universities and high schools, observing lessons and joining workshops. Two teachers who have experinces of international projects or want to improve their experinces of international projects, who works in project group , Who is responsible for European dimension in our school policy plan and who has an upper-intermediate or Advanced level of English will attend the course ‘How to make your school more international ?’ and will set up a network with people from other European countries , improve their knowledge about creating project idea, writing project, applying for project and Project management with regard to Erasmus Plus KA2 Strategic partnerships. Twho teachers who can use ICT and media tools effectively, who can speak English fluently, who can guide other teachers about using tablets and who are responsible for the transition of technological developments to education in our school plan will attend the course ‘How to use tablets in Education? ‘ and will gain the necessary skills to use tablets in education in a creative, innovative and effective way.
At the end of the project, we will write a school policy plan which is more creative and innovative, which includes Project based international works and which emphasizes the importance of using tablets and other ICT tools in education. We will reorganize education environment and syllabus using European standarts and including technological items. Model practices will be prepared about tablets and presented will enable both our teachers and students to use tablets more creatively and effectively. Our project group which will be formed during the project will find partners and apply for Erasmus Plus KA2 Startegic partnerships project as a coordinator.
All these activities provide us with the education concept which will own European standarts with the help of international activities , which is reinforced technologically and which is more innovative and creative. Thus, sending our students , who will improve their academic and social achievement, to more quality universities will enable us to be regarded as a succesful and pioneer school by our parents and the people in Edremit.
