About Me

Pole ICP - The Cultural & Heritage Industries Cluster -  is an Industry Cluster based in Provence which brings together a hundred actors (companies, research laboratories, training centres, associations, international festivals) specialized in conservation, restoration, preservation, transmission or dissemination of the built heritage, natural, cultural and immaterial. The cluster organizes events for its members and provides organizational support in their respective activities by- The networking of actors, - The creation and monitoring of economic development activities centred on five levers: Innovation, ICT, International Social and Environmental Responsibility and Job Training. - Support for innovative projects and collaborative R & D. The cluster also provides support in designing and implementing innovative industrial projects to respond to Bids for Tenders in the Research and Development sector.

Relevant projects 

- Archeomed® : Creation of an economic centre dedicated to the Heritage and Culture industries; partners:  The Archeomed® initiative, spearheaded 9 years ago by the Pôle Industries Culturelles et Patrimoine has come to age in 2015 in becoming a sharing platform dedicated to activities relating to culture and ; Archeomed® , a unique project in France, has set up home in Arles on a site of 1750 m2, 905m2 for workshops and 380m2 for offices, and offers working spaces, individual or collective, services and high tech equipment’s. Since January 2015 this site is housing around 25 companies.

 - SMATH: 

The project' main goal is to support the development of a prolific atmosphere where CCI’s needs can find a tailor-made responses.

More specifically, SMATH aims to strengthen the competitiveness of creative industries in the MED area by structuring “Smart Atmospheres”as innovative clustering of cultural engines and value enhancing ;

The ambitious results of the project want to keep are: 

  • the practice-based awareness of the potential of cultural for creative industries;
  • processes and models of social innovation tailored to the peculiar characteristics and need of SME in the creative sector;
  • a more effective transmission of cultural content to creative industries;
  • a more focused administrative capacity within local and regional governments.
