Looking for Partnership Looking for Extra EU Funds
The Centre for Social and Medical Home Assistance (CASMED) was founded in December 2010. The organisation is the big provider of social and medical home-based care (HBC) in Moldova operating in Bălți town and 12 adjacent districts. More than 2,500 people are provided annually at home with services according to their needs.
CASMED is the first association in the country providing HBC services based on a diversified financing model (patient, municipality, insurance company and donors). The organisation uses patient score cards for quality insurance and lobby and advocacy activities targeting local public administration.
CASMED is also an umbrella organisation for 12 community-based organisations (CBOs) providing social home-based care services. CASMED supports the development of partner CBOs by providing training on specific topics, advice and coaching, to contribute to strengthening their organisational and technical skills.
Cooperating with public authorities at the local and regional levels is a priority objective for CASMED for joint activities and co-funding. Since 2017, CASMED supports elderly empowerment and communities to build up age-friendly environments.
