I am Cell Biologist with PhD in Bio-Medical Nanotechnology with , Laboratory, and Project management
My main achievements include:
- Proposed and developed new scientific direction in the Department of Psychiatry (SDU) – patients derived induced pluripotent stem cells iPSC and brain organoids for modeling neurodevelopmental disorders;
- Established and managing Laboratory of Translational Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry (SDU);
- Development of innovative nanosensor platform for live cell real time monitoring of gene expression during cell reprogramming into (iPSC) and neuronal differentiation;
- Characterization of growth factors and small derived peptides as therapeutic agents for neurodegenerative disorders;
- Development of cellular models for studying misfolding proteins (Huntington disease).
I am a researcher at the Department of Psychiatry, Odense, Denmark, and head of the Laboratory of Translational Psychiatry. I have extensive experience in Neuroscience, Stem Cell Biology, Bio-Medical ;My research is focused on patients-derived induced pluripotent stem cells and brain organoids for modeling psychiatric disorders. I have several ongoing projects focused on brain organoids for modeling autism spectrum disorders, the role of the astrocytes, Identification of causal pathways between insulin signaling and brain growth, and myelination in autism spectrum disorders, small peptide molecules for the treatment of psychiatric disorders.
