Association for Intercultural Dialogue offers and supports education in the spirit of the European values by promoting the values of democracy and tolerance, fighting against any kind of discrimination and understanding the role of diversity.
Our main aim is to empower young people against discrimination, manipulation, helping them to develop a culture of human rights, changing attitudes and behaviors.
The decisions in our organization are made by Managing Board. The staff is formed by teachers, visual artists, journalists, jurists – all volunteers, but there is also a number of people who are paid by project, no more than 4 ; Our organization has 200 volunteers, majority students, majority belonging to vulnerable groups – families with low income, rural area, Roma people, LGBT
Our expertise is based on developing partnerships projects, European and national projects, working with young people groups as well as vulnerable groups, trying to build bridges between generations, exchanging experience, organizing training sessions, workshops, symposiums, festivals, shows.
Through our activity we are continuously promoting Human Rights Education and all the democratic values.
Association for Intercultural Dialogue cooperates with Romanian Institute for Human Rights, Romanian National Commission for UNESCO, NGOs, High Schools targeting social inclusion of the youth groups and active citizenship.
Association for Intercultural Dialogue is member of the Romanian Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation.
The scope of the association is to provide flexible non-formal education programs in youth fields within the framework of lifelong learning. It has oriented its services toward the main guidelines and priorities stressed out by the European Commission. Main focus is given to skills training and initiatives that will enable young people to be active in social life.
