Maritime shipping is a sector that contributes 2% of CO2 emissions. There is a strong desire to clean up the carbon footprint of the industry. We have net zero target by 2050 and the World Bank reports carbon trade in the shipping sector is expected to be 1 trillion USD value. Recent BBC news reported a modern sail-powered ship sailing expected to cut fuel consumption by 30%. Report says by 2025 half of the new ships ordered are expected to be wind-powered.

Our patented wind turbine technology is low-weight, can be folded like an umbrella, and can be laid flat on deck. We believe it is the ideal technology to power ships without causing any obstruction to the functioning of the ship. Being low in weight it does not change the center of gravity of the ship and is not affected by the sway of the ship under the effect of the waves.  Our estimate shows it is possible to generate up to 3.5 MW of energy on board a ship using the new technology.

We are looking to join any consortiums related to our technology and test it at different scales.  Inquiries and partnerships from shipbuilders are welcome.
