I am actively exploring opportunities to join a collaborative partnership, specifically targeting the Fighting Crime and Terrorism 2023 call (HORIZON-CL3-2023-FCT-01). Our research team comprises economists from the University of Palermo, LUMSA University, and the University of Calabria. We specialize in both theoretical and empirical investigations into organized crime, including its infiltration into local governments and legitimate businesses. Our prior research includes empirical network analyses of the Sicilian Mafia, economic evaluations of extortion schemes, and econometric assessments of inequality and organized crime proliferation. Additionally, we have examined the influence of corruption on economic and political choices. We have a track record of successful participation in Horizon projects like PROTON, focusing on organized crime and terrorism, and have also served as expert evaluators. We are keen to become part of a consortium for the forthcoming research call.
