The Romania-Bulgaria cross-border region faces an urgent challenge: preparing a new generation of specialists capable of addressing the escalating impacts of climate change. This includes mitigating the effects of global warming, managing natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and fires, and supporting the green transition in alignment with EU sustainability objectives. Compounding these environmental challenges is a significant skills gap in the digital domain, which limits the region’s ability to effectively leverage technology for climate action.

This project aims to develop a comprehensive educational framework to train specialists in climate resilience, emphasizing practical solutions to real-world environmental challenges. Central to this effort is leveraging ICT as a catalyst for innovative climate solutions, ensuring that graduates are equipped to integrate advanced digital tools with climate science to drive sustainable progress.
