Ayıkayası Nature Park is located on the line of rich forest ecosystems and wildlife areas starting from the northwest of Turkey and continuing eastwards along the Black Sea. The Nature Park is located in the center of the Yedigöller Wildlife Development Area. In the ecosystem continuing towards the east of the area, Yenice Wildlife Development Area  , one of the 100 hot spots in the world, is located and has all the resource values of this area in the Yedigöller Wildlife Development Area.

Ayıkaya Hill, which constitutes the main resource values of Ayıkayası Nature Park , is extremely important in terms of the sustainability of the ecological and biological life it contains, with its mixed forest structure and the visual landscape it offers, high mountain meadows, and its geological structure.

The forest ecosystem of the Nature Park consists of coniferous trees, deciduous trees and subalpine shrubs and meadows. Since the summer drought does not last long in the region, leafy and coniferous formations are widely distributed. These areas are home to many species of flora and fauna. There are trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants, some of which are endemic, in the environment, and the endemism rate in the flora has been determined as 6.4%.

The area where 3 protected areas coexist is located on the border of the Black Sea Filyos sub-basin and is one of the water collection centers of the basin with its forest vegetation. However, since its ecosystem also attracts visitors, increasing tourism activities may lead to ecosystem degradation.

A well-constructed plan is needed to achieve sustainable wildlife, sustainable natural balance and sustainable visitor management, as well as rural development goals.

Ayıkayası Nature Park and Yedigöller National Park , located within the borders of Bolu province, are located within the Yedigöller Wildlife Development Area (30,000 ha), which contains the rarest wildlife of Bolu. Visitor density and visitor needs in both protected areas affect the wildlife area and protected areas. 1- The Bolu-Yedigöller transportation road, which passes through the middle of the field, has caused habitat fragmentation in wildlife. 2- Yedigöller National Park is used beyond its capacity in autumn, on weekends and holidays, so there are problems such as loss of live cover, lack of youth from the bottom of the trees, drying and falling of trees, and filling of lakes due to erosion. 3- During the construction of the Bolu-Yedigöller transportation road, road widening was carried out, which caused the forest edges to deteriorate. The deteriorated forest edges are not a preferred situation for wildlife, and wind breakage and overturning of trees have been experienced due to wind penetration. 4- The increasing number of visitors from year to year has led the local people to generate income from here, but the illegal practices have caused the public and the administration to confront each other.

Solutions & Suggestions: 1- Identifying the sections used by wildlife as crossing points for habitat fragmentation and making the necessary area arrangements. 2- Making a visitor management plan, building a station for public transport and a car park for vehicles in Ayıkayası Nature Park in order to close  Yedigöller National Park to vehicle traffic during peak periods. 3- Identifying deteriorated forest edges, cooperating with relevant institutions and carrying out afforestation and planting activities. 4- Making an eco-tourism sub-plan and establishing local product sales units by the administration, cooperating and controlling the local people by  taking the initiative of them.
