The "Bildungscampus", a cooperation of the public library with the "Bildungszentrum", the adult education centre, and the Planetarium of the city of Nuremberg, wants a bigger opening to the foreign countries of Europe by sending teachers and some of the empoyees to these countries. The teachers will attend professional classes there to broaden their expertise of teaching. The employees will inspect professional facilities or institutions with a similiar target audience and tasks to learn the local principles of operation by "job-shadowing" there. These interested teachers and employees were chosen by a selection process to represent the Bildungscampus in foreign countries. After their stays the travellers will refer to different boards and commitees of the Bildungscampus about their experiences and their perceptions. The goal of these official journeys is to improve the personal, social and professional competences. These will support the development of innovative, demand-oriented and attractive classes for all the target audiences of the Bildungscampus.
