Zespol Placowek Edukacyjnych is the centre of education for students with special needs. In 2013 together with changing the name from Zespol Szkol Specjalnych to Zespol Placowek Edukacyjnych, the school started to pursue a new strategy of development. In 2015 marks 45-year anniversary of the school, which is developing its business profile in accordance with current trends in pedagogy and psychology, and most of the needs of the local environment. The teaching staff is motivated to constantly seek new methods, forms and means of working with students with disabilities that make their impact educational, therapeutic and educational - effective. Two coordinators made the project called : "The change through development - the improvement of teachers' competence". The school needs innovative training to improve professional competence and personal staff and opportunities to share experiences with teachers from other countries of the European Union. The emphasis is placed on improving the experience of implementation of innovative teaching methods and tools for working with children with special educational needs. We are looking for strategies to deal with the problems of teaching and education, using the Internet in a more effective way to share experience, knowledge, ideas so that, in effect, become an information base for school environment and the local community. We realize how important it is to raise the level of English in order to effectively teach, cooperate with other schools and learn about the latest, professional literature, and the results of research in pedagogy and psychology. Our goal is the revision of the evaluation with the scope of activities and curricula. We understand the need to building a team of peer support and self-development. Due to the mobility of workers, the school will take part in the European exchange of experience and introduce new methods and forms of work. We hope that through training will experience personal growth, strengthen self-efficacy, the level of self-esteem and values, skills, effective communication, cooperation and problem solving. Through the actions, taken to improve the facilities, the school will create the database and will have support to change its profile with partners from other European schools. Measurable benefits of this project contribute to the promotion of the facility, the continuation of these activities as well as openness to diversity and intercultural European Union countries in the field of education.
