Primary School in Milowka would like to participate in a project called Language Integrated Learning for elementary school learners. The aim of the project is to upgrde the qualification of our teaching staff thanks to the active participation in both methodology and language workshops. In consequence our educational offer will be extended with some new extra curricular activities. The project will allow us to introduce some elements of CLIL methodology into elementary school curricula as well as help us form the international partnership. The teachers participating in the workshops will acquaint with many innovative and highly creative methods of teaching as well as will learn to use more effectively ICT technology in their everyday work, which will make their classes more interesting and approachable for learners. Nine teachers from our staff would like to take active participation in the project. Among them are english language teacher, science teacher, ICT teacher, oligophrenic pedagogy teacher, speech therapist, art teacher and early education teacher. All of them are eager to develop their language skills and implement some innovative methods into their everyday teaching activities. The primary aim of our project is to learn and be able to teach the foreign language in a more effective way which in future will allow us to form an international partnership. It would have an enormous effect on both our school as well as local community. After the workshops we could immediately implement the ideas and knowledge into our school system and help our students upgrade their language skills. Secondly, the newly acquired language abilities allow us to communicate more freely with our foreign counterparts. Furthermore, the practical skills gained due to our participations in the set of workshops oraganised by our partner organization in Portugal should ease the proces of international coperation in the future. Methodology workshop on the other hand will present us with new interesting ways of encouriging students to develop their language skills outside the language classes. Among extra curricular activities we are planning to start teaching Spanish language.
