Secondary Nursing School and College of Nursing in Žďár nad Sázavou prepared a two-year project placements abroad for their students, which mediates partner organization Weiterbidlungsakademie Dresden (WAD). It is an educational institute that under the German dual education system offers education in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, pharmacist (pharmacy- technical assistant) and caregiver. During this training, unlike the classical school curriculum puts more emphasis on practical training. It takes place in hospitals, rehabilitation centers or various physiotherapy, occupational therapy or centers. Thanks to WAD has a wide range of contacts and provide for our school practical training in hospitals in Dresden and its surroundings. In the course of the project will include four two-week internship, each for 6 students. Students will have the opportunity to work in departments of cardiology, neurology, rehabilitation and physiotherapy. They will gain practical knowledge in cardiology centers (familiarization with monovette system for venous sampling, work on cardiac ICU assistance in the treatment of central venous catheter, catheterization, care for peripheral venous lines, etc.) And rehabilitation practices in the mobilizing and energize the-spot patients). You will get acquainted with the works of German physiotherapists and will accompany patients to occupational therapy. The project will be implemented according to the principles of ECVET and we expect to strengthen our competition menu of medical schools in the highlands and contribute to the objectives of improvements in the quality of teaching. We expect that in addition to the extension of practical skills our students will deepen their language skills, improve intercultural awareness and international experience will be positively reflected on their other study results. Finally, it will strengthen its application to future employers- hospitals or health care facilities.
