The origin of the project is closely linked with the start of the process of transformation of psychiatric care in Czech republic. Transformation of mental health care is a process of transition from institutional to community based care, developments of community based care services, reinforcement of primary psychiatric care and restriction of in-patient facilities . Fokus Praha and other NGOs can provide twenty years experience in the field of providing community based care services. It is necessary these organizations entered into a process of transformation as a ready and credible partner for other professionals (working already in facilities, where impact of restructuring will be the biggest) Education of professionals is one of the most important aspects of the transformation. The main strategic goal of organisation is: Imprint the new look of organization with a long tradition, that will reflect and follow the changes connected with the transformation of psychiatric care in the country and at the same time to build an organization that can offer stable basement , experience examples of good practice for all professionals as well as all others who are interested in the field of mental health care community services during the process of transformation. To improve the quality of social services, which could follow the changes of needs and composition of the target groups. Dissemination of expertise during this process will be guarantee that target group will not be endangered by the process of transformation. 25 employees of Fokus Praha will attend the project activities. They can get new experiences, professional skill and improve language skills of their professional terminology. After that, they could be involved in the dissemination of this knowledge in courses, seminars, creation of training materials for education courses, participation in national and international training programs and conferences. The main educational topics are deinstitutionalization, multidisciplinary, work with family members, work´s method with users of service and social enterprises, education clients by clients etc. Internships will be held in the following European countries: Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Finland. Time plan of internships is between 4 days and 1 month. The selection´s criteria of participants will be their working konctract by Fokus Praha, long-term interest in the field (transformation of psychiatric care, community services, education of professionals), long time term and positive relationship with the organization, personality potencional for becoming the trainer, coaching skills, language skills according to place and type of internships, professional focus according to place and type of internship (social worker, psychiatrist, psychotherapist, trainer, methodist, etc.). Internship for few days will be focused for exchange of experiences. Long day study visit will be organized by shadowing. Each student will be responsible for creation of final report to arrange fluent and continuous dissemination of new study information and knowledge. National network of organizations for mental health care Fokus (Fokus Praha, Labe, Liberec, Turnov, Mladá Boleslav, Highlands, Sand, Tabor, Ceske Budejovice, Opava) will be used for the dissemination of the project´s outputs accross all Czech republic. There will be created the new educational programs, provided by Training and education centre Fokus Praha that can guarantee that courses will be promoted for wide range of professionals and experts. TVS should become a center of international training programs. Our goal is to use the position of the Czech Republic and use our economic, social and legislative conditions similar to countries in eastern Europe. The experience gained abroad, together with our own experience of the process of transformation of psychiatric care, will be more accessible for professionals such as Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, etc. At the same time we would like to proceed with the cooperation between the organizations working at implementation of the transformation in other countries and keep the interests of developments in our country as well as in other countries to the east of Europe.
