A group of 60 students from the Logistics Vocational Secondary School in Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych will take part in the four-week' internship in the distribution centre of a shipping company. The Amazon Distribution Centre, one of the e-commerce companies existing in the European network, specialises in online retailing. Its online retailing network operates on the European and international level. The company has its distribution centre which will be the place of practical training for the students of the Logistics Vocational Secondary School - the participants of the project. The students will learn the practical aspects of planning and organisation of the logistics process in the Amazon's supply chains - inventory management, warehouse management, waste management, and administrative work attributed to the logistics specialists in the company. The participants will learn and develop their abilities in order picking and fulfilment, quality control, packaging and packing, branding, and the logistics of domestic and international transport. They will learn to manage different types of goods or materials held in stock such as safety stock, anticipation stock or pipeline stock. Moreover, the students will learn and practice the ability to work in a group and will have a chance to practice their knowledge of the technical language which will be later confirmed by the certificates helpful in obtaining a job either in Poland or in any other country. The Applicant along with its partners will gain the experience in training interns which will be helpful in the future in the internal education programme. The internship will be supervised by the teachers from Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych, the employees of the Applicant's partner, and the employees in the distribution centre of Amazon. The participants will receive the certificates confirming their training and Europass Mobility upon the completion of the internship.
